Stress-Less Classes Return this Spring

No matter where you are, stress can find you; so what better time than now to arm yourself with tools to fight it?

Look no further than Mercy Women’s Heart Center, which kicks off monthly “Stress-Less Class" this spring. The first class, slated for March 12, helps pinpoint unique stress responses and offer advice on how to change them.

The sessions will run 5:30-6:45 p.m. and will continue the same time on the following dates:

4/9/15 Anger Management 5/14/15 Anxiety and Depression 6/11/15 Sleep Hygiene 7/9/15 Time Management 8/13/15 Thinking Patterns 9/10/15 Relaxation 10/8/15 Yoga and Massage Therapy 11/12/15 Diet and Stress 12/10/15 Holiday Stress

The $10 courses will offer advice to women on how to change attitudes about everyday stress and provide coping skills to reduce the effect of stressful events.

“While taking care of the external you, let’s not forget about what’s happening on the inside.  Stress can weaken the body and mind,” said Auvia Miller with Mercy Nutrition Center and Healthstyles. “The stress-less classes can help you find a calming center.”
