Rock Your Seat Belt, Roll Your Video Camera

Middle school students with an eye for filmmaking and a desire to keep their friends safe can put their skills to the test while competing for prizes. Mercy’s Injury Prevention Center and Kohl’s Cares are teaming up to present the first-ever Kohl’s Rock Your Seat Belt PSA Film Contest.

Greene County middle school students are encouraged to grab their cameras and friends and create a 30 second public service announcement (PSA) that encourages their peers and parents to always wear a seat belt. Before they get started, they need to register for the competition by Mar. 21. You can find the registration form and a complete set of contest rules online here.

After students have registered, they must submit their entries by April 4 at 5 p.m. Students who submit a video will be invited to attend a red carpet event at Mercy Hospital Springfield, where judges will announce the winners. The first place winner’s video will get air time on Mercy’s television channel, a $300 gift card and space on Mercy’s website and social media channels.
