Mercy to Offer Free Forum for Mothers and Daughters

The “tween” years can be full of wonderful yet frustrating changes for moms and daughters.

That’s why the Mercy Family Resource Center is hosting a “Just B’tween Us Girls!” panel on Monday, April 20. Mercy female pediatricians Elizabeth Andrews, MD, Sara Caffey, MD, and Tamara Fusco, MD, will present information on what girls and the adult women in their lives can expect during puberty.

The program is for girls ages 9 to 13 and their mothers or female caregivers. To make sure the girls are comfortable with the conversation, this is a female-only event. There will be time for discussion and a special “tween” fashion show.

The forum will be held at Hammons Heart Hammons Heart Institute auditorium located at 1235 E. Cherokee. Light snacks and activities will be provided at 5:30 p.m. and the program will run from 6:15-7:30 p.m.

No registration is required. Convenient parking is located north, south and east of the building. For more information, call 417-888-8888 or 1-800-909-8326.
